Hello I am Dr.Waki, Director of Azabu Tokyo Dental Clinic.

When I was staying in the United States, I was free from the Japanese national health insurance system and was able to offer all kinds of highly advanced treatments to my patients as specialist.

I was able to provide what the patient really needed for recovery and for preserving their health. We took our time explaining the treatments to our patients, performed our procedures with strict attention to detail, utilized highly advanced medical technology, and had access to the most appropriate medicines and materials and the most up-to-date facilities as a specialist.

After I came back to Japan, I directly felt the restriction of the Japanese national health insurance system. As a specialist it was very difficult to freely offer what patients needed. Unfortunately I was limited in offering the most advanced dental treatments, since the Japanese national health insurance only covers older types of treatment.

Needless to say, I respect and understand the necessity of the national health system in Japan, as it is a great system that helps and saves people.

However, through my experiences in the United States as a specialist, I realized the differences between what the Japanese health insurance system could offer and what the most advanced treatments in the world could provide. It made me think deeply about how to offer secure and reliable treatments to my family and friends. It was then that I made my big decision.


I decided to offer the most advanced treatments that I mentioned above, all with our hospitality, professional responsibility and reliability. I don’t compromise any treatment, and I always do my best for my patients.

We always take sufficient time to examine your oral condition, providing a thorough explanation of our diagnosis and potential treatment plans. After explaining everything completely and deciding on a plan together, we will begin the most appropriate treatment or preventive care for you.

These are the reasons our treatments are not covered by the Japanese health insurance system. However, we do accept health insurance from other countries.　We offer the best way for you to recover and preserve your health.
