Dear my patients

Dear my patients

Dear my patients,

I had a report today and wrote a message.

I'm sorry that I can't talk to you directly, so I have to report it by message.

As you know, I have been fighting cancer since 2019.

When the cancer was first discovered, my doctor said have a life expectancy of 1 month and a 5-year survival rate of 40 percent, but after receiving the sentence, in 18 months of the 3 years (36 months) of hospitalization, 2 times opening surgery with general anesthesia, 11 times radiation treatments, and anticancer drug treatment 17 times, 1 artificial stem cell transplant, 1 blood transfusion, 2 months of sterile room management, I managed to survive after 5 years.

However, when performing this treatment, my doctor said that the side effects in 5 years could not be predicted because there were some new treatment.

Since 5 years after the treatment, the reason is unknown and my left half of the body (left hand and left leg) has not been able to move well.

I thought I was active until I was 70 years old, but I thought I couldn't cause trouble to patients, so I was half-hearted and very frustrated, but I decided to retire as a dentist this time.

Retirement is very frustrating, but considering that everyone has retired and will die, this time, I was able to return to the patient's treatment, even temporarily, and I was able to make this decision myself, and I was able to write a message like this. I would like to thank you for good luck.

There are seniors in life who passed away shortly after taking over the clinic and taking over the patient due to cerebral infarction or myocardial infarction. When I think that it must have been really regretful, I am frustrated with my retirement, but now I think that I am lucky to have made this decision on my own. It is often said that Mr. Akashiya Sanma is "just alive to make a living", and I feel that he is exactly right.

When I was 10 years old, I decided to become a dentist, 6 years in junior high school and high school, 6 years in the Faculty of Dentistry, 4 years in the Graduate School of Dentistry, 4 years in the Graduate School of Dentistry in the United States, obtained a specialist in the United States, and thanks to the guidance of many teachers, after returning to Japan at that time, I was able to open a business with only free medical treatment without insurance treatment. After that, I have been running a clinic for 14 years and spending almost all of my life as a dentist, so I can't find words other than frustration, but I decided to retire as a dentist.

Until December of the year, we will provide medical treatment with the help of Dr. Takagaki as before.

We are very disappointed, but we will close our hospital within the year.

Thank you for your guidance so far.

We look forward to your continued guidance and encouragement.

Thank you very much.

December 2025, Tomonori Waki
